Another great architecture has been built in Vietnam. With the aim to save from the construction cost, the WNW or Wind and Water Bar by Vo Trang Nghia Co. Ltd., is constructed using low cost materials. Since the place where the WNW located is prone to flood, the WNW bar is also easy to construct and easy to transport. With the aim to provide the flood victims o have temporary houses, tents, school classrooms, business areas like cafes, bars, and more, the WNW Bar is located in the man-made lake in the center of Thu Dau Mot, Binh Duong province in the southern region of Vietnam.The WNW Bar is made of 48 units of bamboo elements with the sheets of leaves used for the covering of the structure. The structure also uses natural air for its ventilation with the coolness that is attained form the lake. The roof also has a 1.5m diameter hole that serves as the exhaust. With the materials used, the WNW Bar does not only saves the people from getting harm during calamities but also saves the environment.With the WNW as their entry, VO Trang Nghia Co. Ltd., is shortlisted in the civic community category, interiors and fit out and structural design at The World Architecture Festival 09.
