Used Subway Cars to Studios?

Used subway cars are normally junked and thrown away. On the other way around, young artists in London are sick and tired of renting high priced studios for them to use and be able to work. However, designer Auro Foxcroft designed a wonderful, innovative studio, and environmentally friendly. The studio is made from recycled subway cars, mounted them on a rooftop and uses it as an office space. This will not only save the artists from spending big amount of money from renting a studio but will also save the environment from the hazards that the used subway car if ever they will only be thrown away.

  1. So, is this limited to the beautiful UK? I am trying to locate decommissioned subway/rail cars here in the States. Specifically, I need to find an avenue for stagnant rail or train cars with the ability to visit these steel dragons with my acetylene torches and grinders for the purpose of harvesting select sections of the internal and external skin.
    ANY IDEAS??????
