Recycled Shipping Container Art Center By Graft Lab Arhitects

Shipping container are great tool for architecture, and Graft Lab Architects are now into recycling shipping container that resulted into a wonderful Architecture with the Platoon Kunsthalle as their end product. The nice architecture that is made from standard shipping containers is the new exhibit hall and art center in Seoul, Korea. As part of the Platoon Cultural Development Center, the Platoon Kunsthalle that opened last April have library lounge, office studios, workshop room, art studios, exhibit areas, restaurant, rooftop bar, and lots of open space that is perfect for gathering.

The aim of the said art center is to help and promote artistic and creative subculture group in Korea and Asia. The said art center has projects and programs that focus on street art, graphic design, fashion, video art, programming, music, club culture, political activism and more. Aspiring artists from Korea and other countries can showcase and develop their talents and projects here at the Platoon Kunsthalle.

The Platoon Kunsthalle is composed of 28 4o-footer recycled shipping containers piled up on each other that resulted into an almost 3,000 square feet of space. With this green architecture available today, future artist will not only be inspired to create wonderful pieces but to be aware of being and living green.
